I think Dr Shepard is the best. Anyone with back problems should see him. He's thoughtful, he takes time to help you understand what's going on. He explains it over and over so you know what's happening. You never have to wait long to see him. I can't say enough about Dr Nicholas Shepard. So glad I found him. And that's how I feel about Dr Bowman and Dr Routh. I love my doctors!

Dr. Shepard is patient and kind and has a genuine smile and care for his patients. He answers all questions and does not hurry through your appointment. My surgery was very successful and he has had great follow up with me post surgery.

Went in for severe back and leg pain

Thorough, very intelligent, compassionate. He was interested in what I had to say, and gave me information and recommendations to help my physical problem. He wasn’t pushy or demanding, as I experienced in the past with other surgeons. Prefer the new office, parking was a dream.

This is the orthopedic doctor you want for your back, hip, spine,etc.. he's patient, understanding, explains, walk you through it and most of all listens. I should know I have seen 3 for different things, they were good but he ranks the highest.

I can’t say enough good things about Dr Nicholas Shepard. He put my wife and I at ease the first time we met him. He clearly explained, using my X-rays and MRI film, what was giving me problems in my lower back (spine) and then covered the steps he would take, during the surgery, to correct those problems. My wife and I left that first meeting fully confident in Dr Shepard. After the operation I expected to endure some fairly high level of pain during my stay at the hospital and also after being released, but I did not experience that level of pain. On a scale of 1-10 my pain/discomfort was no more than a 2. Needless to say I was very surprised and thankful about that.

Dr Shepard answered all my questions with detailed explanations. He took the time to listen and explained my symptoms. His explainations of treatment options was clear. I felt confident in his recommendations and would recommend Dr Shepard to anyone.

After my visit with Dr. Sheppard, I felt better about my back situation. He is very personable and answered all my questions in terms that I could understand. I would recommend him to family and friends!

Dr. Shepherd took his time and listened to me. Then reviewed the x-rays and went over treatment options I felt that he actually cared about me and not just treat me as a number to throw information at and run out the room. I will definitely keep him as my physician as the need arises. He restored my faith in TOA since my first experience with TOA with a different physician was not good at all!!

Dr. Shepard was very courteous. He had great bedside manner. He took time to answer all my questions and explain things in a way that could be easily understood.

Dr. Shephard was a pleasure to meet and seemed very knowledgeable as well as made you feel comfortable. He listened to everything I said and took his time. He wants to find the root of my problem and try to truly help get everything back to normal as possible. Would recommend him anytime.

It took two weeks to get an appt and then they told me upon arrival that I have a $143 balance from the e.r. 5 yrs ago and couldn't be seen. I advocated for.myself as I am 32 and woke up a month ago unable to walk... thankfully Dr. Shepard agreed to still see me.and after a short exam and 3wk old x-rays and no MRI believes he has a diagnosis and he seemed very knowledgeable about the problem. Hoping to walk again within the next 2-4 wks. He seemed kind and gentle and I will update to let you know if he was correct also. As of now I would definitely recommend Dr. Shepard

I have always gone to u guys for the last 25 years and the experience has always been excellent I cannot ask for a better team that has worked on me with my back surgery and my neck surgery and my wrist surgery thank you very much for what are y'all do. Dr. Shepard is an excellent Doctor. He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He listens with compassion. Also kind and maneuverable.

Very clean waiting rooms, staff extremely efficient and friendly, do their jobs well. Dr shepherd gives lots of time explaining and answering questions, makes you feel comfortable and that he cares.

Very knowledgeable about my back problems and gave me the attention it needed

My doctor has been wonderful and has made sure I know about every aspect of my care. I could not recommend a better doctor than doctor Shepard. I do have advice. If you’re getting a surgery do not, and I mean DO NOT, watch a video of the surgery on YouTube before hand. It does not help and I have learned some things about back muscles that I honestly wish I never knew.

I have never had any pain or problems with my back so I was nervous to go to a new doctor and try to explain what was going on. He was the nicest, kindest guy ever. Very attentive and listened to everything I said/asked. He explained everything in detail, gave me a specific treatment plan, a timeline for when I can expect changes, etc. I am very pleased with my experience and will definitely recommend him to anyone else who is having back issue.
